-Can I play music from the FanFare app?
A: Yes. Our app interfaces with Spotify (seamlessly and without any special need for you to leave the app) so you can play and browse millions of songs, all within the unique music discovery platform of FanFare.
-Is the app free to use?
A: Yes, and free to download. The features listed here are included in the Version 1.0, and free to use for all. FanFare will have limited ads and in-app purchases in future versions, but we will always keep the key features free.
-Why FanFare?
A: For the FanFare staff, we created the app because we do not find there to be any apps on the market that give frequent and quality music recommendations. FanFare will answer this problem through a few strategies. #1- Identification of music is user driven: Users define genres and themes and links. Nobody understands taste in music better than a human. #2- We offer various ways for any level of user to discover: You can simply browse via playlist, receive recommendations from friends via links, or you can deep dive via Tags. #3- Future versions of the apps will have curated playlists and recommendations from Maestros. You can receive this via your email or in app.
-Who does your app cater to?
A: Arguably the most important question, and hard to even summarize in one response. We view our users in three groups: People that want to listen to music, people that want to find new music either from other users or common themes, or artists looking to promote their own music. For all three of these groups, we offer social media functions so you can share the experience with friends.
-What is a Tag?
A: Think of a Tag as a hashtag to a song. Tags are user created, so you can be specific to a theme you are trying to describe. You can explore via tags (one or many), make playlists based on tags, share tags, like tags, etc.
